It was a thought provoking read for a new author, but after reading it I felt that it created this idea that there is a magic formula for writing a book. Honestly, don’t buy into it. Yes, it was a great resource for getting thoughts together and made my brain dig into the story inside my head, but I feel if you follow any one book about plot, your stories will be predictable. Predictable is not something that has your readers coming back time after time to read a new release. So as resource, sure read it once or twice but don’t follow it step by step. Also, I felt that the writer twisted stories to fit how she was suggesting you should write rather than what the writer may have actually been trying to say.
